Team members are leading pastoral leaders in music, liturgy, the arts and multi-cultural liturgical celebration from the Archdiocese and Dioceses of southern California.


Dr. Dale Sieverding, Executive Director: Dale is the Director of Liturgy at St. Monica Catholic Community in Santa Monica and Vice-Chair of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Liturgical Commission. He holds his Doctorate in Sacred Liturgy from San Anselmo in Rome and has served in multi-cultural parishes in the Archdiocese of Miami and now in Los Angeles for the past seven years.

John Flaherty, Director of Liturgy: John is the Associate Director of Campus Ministry at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He is a nationally recognized leader in both liturgy and music. In addition to his duties at Loyola, John serves as director of music and liturgy for the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress and is teaching for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in a new program entitled: Building Intercultural Competencies for Church ministers.

Ed Archer, Director of Music: Ed is the Director of Music and Liturgy for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Santa Clarita (Newhall). He was director of music and choral instructor for over 30 years at St. Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica. Ed serves as music and choir director for youth day at the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress. He was an associate editor for the GIA publication, Cross Generation hymnal.

Laura Gomez, Director of Campus Ministry: Laura is the Associate Director of Campus Ministry for Mt. St. Mary's University.

Joe Bazyouros, Associate Director: Joe is on the campus ministry team of the University of Southern California (USC), Christ the Savior Catholic Church on the USC campus. He holds a degree in sacred music from

Merrick Siebenaler, Associate Director: Merrick is the Arena Coordinator for LA Youth Day. At St. Monica, he serves as the Director of Communications & Marketing and Music Director for the 11:30 a.m. Mass. He has extensive experience in music, liturgy and national certification in youth ministry. Merrick attended Berklee College of Music in Boston.
