Liturgical Arts Ministry Project [LAMP SoCal] is a summer workshop for Catholic liturgy and music to be held in Los Angeles.

The 5-day multi-cultural camp will be held at Mount St. Mary's University (Chalon campus) in Los Angeles (Brentwood), CA.

LAMP SoCal is designed to mentor high school students in liturgy, music and the liturgical arts during a week-long residential summer camp with leading Catholic pastoral, liturgical and music leaders from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and beyond. The program is designed to mentor and form the next generation of leaders in our Catholic communities.

Participants will:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the Catholic Church's liturgical life
  • Grow in understanding of the Catholic faith
  • become stronger as musicians and liturgical ministers for his/her home community
  • Grow in understanding of inculturation and cultural adaptation of the Church's life of worship
  • Meet and build community with a great group of teenagers and professional Church ministers who share similar interests and faith.
